Declaration of Sustainability

Sustainability is a natural and important part of our business. We believe in a long-term approach to business and a continuous reduction on the impact we have on our planet. Being a personal protective equipment (PPE) supplier, TEGA wants to be a leader in health and safety for all the people part of our business and throughout our supply chain. In addition, our product offering will help our customers to improve their safety performance.

We have selected and decided to focus on the following UN Sustainable Development Goals:

HEALTH & SAFETY

Safety is of utmost importance to us. We prioritize maintaining safe workplaces through proactive measures such as conducting risk assessments and safety walks. We diligently follow up on risk observations and incidents, ranging from near-misses to Lost Time Injuries, to ensure continuous improvement in safety.

Our commitment to safety extends beyond our own operations. Upstream, we enforce safety requirements through our CoC for Business, while downstream, our Partner Tools contribute to our customers' safety assessments.

Target for 2024:

• Zero LTIs (Lost Time Injuries)

PRODUCTS & INNOVATION

While preserving their functionality and quality, new products should incorporate materials with:

• Higher amounts of recycled materials.
• Improved control of material content.
• Production methods with a minimum of environmental impact, e.g. water/energy use, and waste.

Target for 2024:

• Launch a new eco-friendly glove model made from FSC-certified natural rubber.

GHG EMISSIONS

As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental impact, we aim to estimate and better understand our total greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1–3). We are committed to reducing scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions within our company, while improving calculation methods for scope 3 GHG emissions. We aim to reduce GHG emissions through:

• Increasing packing efficiency throughout the supply chain.
• Increaseing utilization of sea freight logistics and electric vehicles.

Targets for 2024:

• Mapping of carbon footprint (total GHG emissions)
• Reduce air transportation to less than 0.15% of turnover (compared to 0.28% in 2023).

ETHICS (CSR)

TEGA conducts ethical business with distributors, end user companies, and suppliers. Our employees are trained in our Code of Conduct. Business partners adhere to ethical standards outlined in a separate CoC for Business. We provide an external whistleblower mechanism for reporting concerns.

Targets for 2024:

• 100% signed CoC by product-related suppliers
• 100% of suppliers to undergo third-party CSR audits.
